This is a very simple meal, especially useful when you are hungry and need to whip up something really quick.

bake beans and egg

  1. 2 chicken eggs
  2. 1/2 can of bake beans
  3. couple of plain crackers (optional)
  4. 3 table spoon cooking oil

  1. Heat up the frying pan.  Pour in the cooking oil.
  2. When the oil is very hot, crack in a egg. (fry one at a time or both together is fine).
  3. When the egg is half cook, fold 1 side over to make a pocket egg.  You may need to hold it for a while for it to set into place.  Flip over when lightly browned.
  4. Remove the egg on place on a plate.
  5. Pour in the bake beans into the frying pan and heat it up to near boiling.
  6. Serve the bake beans on the plate, and serve with plain crackers (or toast bread).
  7. Serve hot.
  8. Double the ingredient to serve 2 (then you can use 1 can of bake beans)

Bake Beans with Fried Egg — 2 Comments

  1. I am cooking beans and fried eggs for dinner … right now actually. I prefer to serve it in a bowl, fry the egg till it’s still soft in the middle, place the egg(s) on top of the beans. serve with buttered or cheeze whizzed toast for dipping/scooping. Fry the egg up with some Frank’s hot sauce and garlic…mmmmmmmm

  2. Have not tried Frank’s hot sauce before, have not seen it in our local stores too, how does it taste like?
yes, I like the yolk to be soft and liquid too, and taste very good mixed with the beans! nice and creamy, yum!
