Pan Fry Salted Prawn

Ingredients

  1. 10 big  prawns (important for the prawn to be fresh)
  2. 1 teaspoon salt
  3. 1 teaspoon sugar
  4. 1 table spoon brandy or Chinese rice wine or hua tiao (花雕) (optional)
  5. cooking oil for pan fry.

 

 

Method

  1. Wash the prawns, do not de-shell, but you may cut away some of the legs and feelers.
  2. You may also cut the top and bottom using a scissors to remove the intestines. 
  3. Season the prawn with salt, sugar and wine, set for 30 mins.
  4. Heat up the frying pan, add in cooking oil and pan fry the prawn till red cook.
  5. Serve hot.
